Some of the transit places we passed thru enroute to Afghanistan had doors decorated with unit symbolsposted by soldiers of various units, as they passed through. On a wall in Leipzig, Germany, I saw theBugs Bunny WWII logo of the 463rd PFAB, now usurped by part of the current 321st artillery. I guesssince the 463rd is not currently active, their old insignia was up for grabs. I saw the sametype sticker again in Kyrgystan, used by the same 321st unit. I think the 321st now supports elements ofthe 82nd ABD, not the 101st. As such the members of the current 321st are probably jump-qualified, as were theWWII members of the 463rd, perhaps another justification for making use of the old 463rd logo. The WWII 321st was glider-borne and their unit distinctive was a somewhat less-interesting pair of tiger paws, on ared shield.

Just a small portion of the panorama at Sharana, photographed near the tent I occupied in October.
