Posts: 5310 Nov 7 10 1:17 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Some of the transit places we passed thru enroute to Afghanistan had doors decorated with unit symbols posted by soldiers of various units, as they passed through. On a wall in Leipzig, Germany, I saw the Bugs Bunny WWII logo of the 463rd PFAB, now usurped by part of the current 321st artillery. I guess since the 463rd is not currently active, their old insignia was up for grabs. I saw the same type sticker again in Kyrgystan, used by the same 321st unit. I think the 321st now supports elements of the 82nd ABD, not the 101st. As such the members of the current 321st are probably *jump-qualified*, as were the WWII members of the 463rd, perhaps another justification for making use of the old 463rd logo. The WWII 321st was glider-borne and their unit distinctive was a somewhat less-interesting pair of tiger paws, on a red shield. Last Edited By: KlondikeFox Nov 7 10 1:21 PM. Edited 1 times.

Posts: 5310 Nov 27 10 4:03 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The reason this thread came back to the top, is that while looking over notes I took on the A-stan trip today, I came across the name of the USMC Lt who I spoke with in Ramstein, Germany (the airfield USO) last month. The photo of he and his men appears on page two of this topic, now with the lieutenant's name and home town added.
