Thanks Mr. T.
I don't think there is any website or so... Pitty.
We will be posting some information and reports on our site regarding the 456th, because the 463rd was made out of the 456th, but only info up to Anzio, where the unit was split.

I think 456PFA was also involved in the Bulge, but as always, Arty seems to be forgotten...

So, not that much in books, internet, etc...

Go to Google Books and seach on "456th field artillery" (in quotation marks).
You will get 17 books that mention them.

Thanks Ken,

I'm looking for someone who's doing similar as I do for the 463rd for information interchange.

Anybody know anything about this battalion?
(A photo from the Bando photo archive-orig size 3/4").
This must have been a unit comparable to the 456th, judging from the many
campaigns listed on the sign. I knew many personnel from the 456th were rolled over
into the 463rd but I have few details.
Another unit with little recorded history is the 457th PFAB, of which my father-in-law from my
first marriage was a member.  They fought at Tagaytay Ridge & Leyte with the 11th Airborne Div.
